2011: Flying Out The Cacoon...

New Year is here again... bringing new hopes and resolutions.. (or more 'time' to materialise 'previous resolutions'... eheh )

A new year is unfolding—like a blossom with petals curled tightly concealing the beauty within.. How we unfold it is what matters.. Our perception of beauty is another.. Some may think that the previous year was not a good year for them or kinda 'suwey' , but to me, each year has it's own beauty in shaping our lifes. We might have faced some 'unique' challenges (unique? trying to be positive here..) last year but then, as the year passes, we might have grown stronger and better... as these challenges are meant to strenghten & develop our character.

So, let's start our New Year by making resolutions to eliminate the negativities in our lives. Our very first step is... make resolutions on how to overcome them.

I used to have this 'huge' self confidence problem, which may sound ridiculous to others. Living in this cacoon of low self esteem has eaten part of life and slowed down my success.. So, it is time for me to get over it! It's not that easy but I need to get started! Enough of it bugging my life. First and foremost, I should have a more positive outlook of life, smile more often and get a makeover! Makeover doesn't mean that we need expensive clothes & make up, but go and get the ones which are not expensive but 'suits' us well.

Second is, get organised! When we are not organised, we tend to be a bit, or sometimes very,  'kelam kabut' and this causes stress. When we are stressed out, our confidence level may also drop. So, go get that diary or planner and make use of it, Mazlina! Company bagi tu gunalah.. ish ish... simpan buat apa...

Ok, those are my resolutions this year... How about you?

Before I end, I would like to share with you the Recipe for a Happy New Year... (gotten it from the net, of course...)

Take twelve fine, full-grown months; see that these are thoroughly free from old memories of bitterness, rancor and hate, cleanse them completely from every clinging spite; pick off all specks of pettiness and littleness; in short, see that these months are freed from all the past—have them fresh and clean as when they first came from the great storehouse of Time. Cut these months into thirty or thirty-one equal parts. Do not attempt to make up the whole batch at one time (so many persons spoil the entire lot this way) but prepare one day at a time.

Into each day put equal parts of faith, patience, courage, work (some people omit this ingredient and so spoil the flavor of the rest), hope, fidelity, liberality, kindness, rest (leaving this out is like leaving the oil out of the salad dressing— don’t do it), prayer, meditation, and one well-selected resolution. Put in about one teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkling of play, and a heaping cupful of good humor..

Good Luck Guys... and Happy New Year!
